Retaining the trade name we received
We have retained Iris Rose from the name on the supplier's tag. At present, we have not found sufficient documentation to connect it with a particular botanical identity. This article introduces the sheet under that trade name without filling in its family or origin by conjecture. MORI KOUGEI: A4 veneer sheet product information
How to present it within a piece
Using the photograph as one example, consider the size of the intended surface, grain direction and relationship to surrounding materials. Covering a small box lid and using the wood at an edge or within a motif call for different areas of pattern. A template laid over the sheet helps locate the part you want to show and plan the cutting position.
An A4 paper-backed sheet
Our product measures 210 × 297 mm and is approximately 0.25 mm thick, combining natural wood veneer with industrial washi paper. Consider it as a surface material to bond to a substrate, for furniture edges, small-object decoration or wood inlay. MORI KOUGEI: A4 veneer sheet product information
Prepare a flat substrate and test bonding and finishing on an offcut. Rather than assuming that the exact sheet in the photograph will arrive, adjust the layout while looking at your actual material. This is one way to enjoy the individuality of natural wood. MORI KOUGEI: A4 veneer sheet product information
