The Rays Tray is handcrafted using a unique veneer technique developed by MORI KOUGEI, a third-generation woodworking studio in Tokushima, Japan.
Each piece is made by precisely arranging triangular slices of natural wood veneer in a radial pattern. As light hits the surface from different angles, it reveals a luminous, ripple-like effect—just like sunlight reflecting off water.
