Tokushima Prefecture is promoting the appeal of its two iconic blues — “LED” and “Ai Indigo” — while encouraging local companies to expand sales channels, develop new businesses, and foster collaborations.
As part of this initiative, an exhibition and sales event featuring products utilizing “Awa Ai” indigo from Tokushima Prefecture will be held at Sway Gallery in London.
We warmly invite you to experience products created with the refined craftsmanship and traditional indigo techniques of Tokushima artisans.
Tokushima, long known as a city of water, has nurtured a culture of “Ai” indigo deeply rooted in everyday life and history.
The indigo produced in Tokushima — known as “Awa Ai” — has been cultivated for centuries and is celebrated internationally as a symbolic “Japan Blue.”
We would be delighted to welcome you to this exhibition showcasing works created with Tokushima’s renowned Awa Ai indigo.
