Tokushima Vortis 20th Anniversary Crowdfunding Campaign

Together with photographer Shumpei Ohsugi, who has recently been appointed as the creative partner of Tokushima Vortis, we have created original collaborative products for Vortis.
Tokushima Vortis’ crowdfunding campaign officially began on May 30.
Crowdfunding Limited Collaboration Veneer Tray
A special marquetry tray featuring the “VORTIS” logo inlaid with ebony and black walnut veneer.
Beautiful enough to be displayed as an art object.

Limited Collaboration Indigo-Dyed Veneer Clock
As a crowdfunding reward, an indigo-dyed clock engraved with the “VORTIS” logo at the 12 o’clock position has been added as a special commemorative product by creative partner Shumpei Ohsugi.
Wood has the unique characteristic of changing appearance depending on the angle of light and the viewing direction.
Taking advantage of this characteristic, triangular pieces of veneer are carefully arranged in a circular pattern, creating a design that resembles rays of light radiating from the center.
The clock hands and surface material are made using ebony veneer.

I am photographer Shumpei Ohsugi, recently appointed as the creative partner of Tokushima Vortis.

These final words left by my father, Ren Osugi, feel like they led me to my connection with Tokushima.
The time I spent traveling throughout Tokushima, the people I encountered, and Tokushima Vortis — a club my father deeply loved.
“Together with Tokushima, creating the greatest moments.”
I strongly resonate with this slogan and hope to connect what I can do to the future.
Through both good times and difficult times, my feelings remain close.
I sincerely support Tokushima Vortis.
