“KITE MITE MII TOKUSHIMA,” an event that opens the doors to Tokushima’s manufacturing culture and craftsmanship, was first held in November last year and attracted more visitors than expected.

As an opportunity for people to visit factories, see the production process, and experience craftsmanship firsthand, the event will be held for the second time this year.
We warmly invite you to visit Tokushima, explore the world of manufacturing, and experience the passion of the makers behind it.

“KITE MITE MII TOKUSHIMA” will be held across the factories of participating manufacturers.

At MORI KOUGEI, we will host both an “Explanation & Demonstration” and a “Workshop.”

During the “Explanation & Demonstration,” we will introduce veneer materials, processing machinery, and the decorative plywood manufacturing process through live demonstrations and explanations.

In the “Workshop,” you can freely use various colored woods to create your own original clock design.

Throughout the event period, visitors can also see and hold actual MORI KOUGEI products in the second-floor gallery.

Visitors who do not require explanations or guided tours are welcome to stop by casually between 13:00 and 17:00.

【Workshop】

Would you like to create your own original clock?

MORI KOUGEI will host special workshops. You can choose from two different workshop styles depending on your preference.

The clock face is a 28cm diameter circle — the same size as the MORI KOUGEI CLOCK . It uses a silent sweep movement with no ticking sound and original ebony clock hands.

1. Rays Pattern Clock Workshop

Price: ¥8,000 (materials included)

Choose your favorite wood colors and create a beautiful Rays-pattern clock. Even first-time participants can enjoy the process comfortably with careful support. Experience a simple and elegant design that highlights the natural beauty of wood grain.

2. Free Design Clock Workshop

Price: ¥15,000 (materials included)

Freely combine a variety of colored woods to create your own original clock design. This workshop allows for a higher level of customization, enabling participants to create a truly personal piece using craftsmanship techniques.

• I do not speak English fluently, but I will do my best to guide you through gestures and demonstrations.
