An endlessly simple and refined wall clock design.

Available in a combination of two patterns and two color variations.

［Pattern Variations］

Wood naturally changes appearance depending on the angle of light and the viewing direction.
Taking advantage of this characteristic, triangular veneer pieces are arranged radially in a circular pattern,
creating a design that resembles rays of light spreading outward from the center.

［HOEK］

A unique geometric design created using a technique known as “wood inlay,”
where wood pieces are fitted together seamlessly without gaps.

Distorted hexagonal veneer pieces of identical shape are combined while changing the direction of the wood grain.

Although all pieces use the same wood species and color,
their geometric arrangement causes the wood to appear to shift in color depending on the angle and viewpoint,
creating a shimmering, almost sparkling impression.

This is the origin of the name “HOEK” — a Dutch word meaning “perspective” or “angle.”

［Color Variations］

［Oak］

A bright natural color characterized by the warm texture of real wood.

Oak features distinctive medullary rays (“flecks”) that run separately from the grain,
naturally carrying nutrients throughout the tree.

These flecks possess a unique natural luster,
which remains beautifully visible even after dyeing.

［Indigo Dyed］

A deep Japan Blue indigo tone with a distinctive atmosphere.

The wood’s natural characteristic of “changing appearance depending on the angle of light”
takes on an even more unique expression through the indigo dyeing process.

［Clock Hands］

An original design using MORI KOUGEI’s proprietary plywood developed by layering veneer sheets together.

Ebony veneer is used for the surface material.

By laminating the veneer layers with alternating grain directions,
the design successfully reduces the effects of humidity and temperature changes compared to ordinary solid wood.

［Instructions for Use］

○ Adjust the time using the adjustment dial on the back of the movement.

○ Always use the adjustment dial on the back to set the time.
Do not rotate the hands directly by hand.

○ Insert the battery into the holder while checking the correct + and – polarity.
The clock will begin operating automatically.

［Installation & Placement］strong>

○ Do not use outdoors where the clock may be exposed to rain or wind,
or in locations subject to large temperature or humidity changes,
or in direct sunlight.

○ When hanging on wooden walls or wooden pillars,
please use the included wood screw.

○ When mounting on plasterboard, concrete, or non-wooden walls,
do not use the included wood screw.
Please use commercially available mounting hardware suitable for the wall material and structure.

○ Make sure the clock is securely mounted before use.

○ Keep out of reach of small children.

○ Avoid using the clock in the following environments, as this may cause malfunction or damage to the movement:

Locations above +50°C

Near heating appliances or open flames

Locations below –10°C

Humid environments (such as bathrooms or steamy areas)

Areas with strong magnetic fields or intense vibrations (such as near large motors, drills, mixers, pumps, or blowers)

Dusty environments

［About Batteries］

○ Always use a new battery when replacing the battery.

○ Replace the battery promptly when necessary.
Even if the clock continues running, replace the battery after approximately one year.

○ If the clock stops or will not be used for a long period,
remove the battery.
Leaving the battery installed may result in leakage, which could damage the clock or surrounding objects.
