Together with photographer Shumpei Ohsugi, who has recently been appointed Creative Partner of Tokushima Vortis, we have completed an original Vortis collaboration product. The Tokushima Vortis crowdfunding campaign started on May 30.
Crowdfunding Exclusive Collaboration Veneer Tray
A work featuring the “VORTIS” logo created in wood marquetry using ebony and black walnut veneer.
It is finished beautifully enough to be displayed as an object.

Limited Collaboration Indigo-Dyed Veneer Clock
As a crowdfunding reward, an indigo-dyed clock featuring the “VORTIS” logo laser-engraved at the 12 o’clock position has been added as a special commemorative product by Creative Partner Shumpei Ohsugi.
Wood has the characteristic of appearing different in color depending on the angle of light and the viewer’s position.
By taking advantage of this characteristic and arranging triangular veneer pieces in a circular composition, the design appears as if rays of light are radiating from the center.
Ebony veneer is used for the clock hands and surface material.

I am photographer Shumpei Ohsugi, and I have recently been appointed Creative Partner of Tokushima Vortis.
“One day, I want you to photograph Tokushima.” These final words left by my father, Ren Osugi, are what I feel first connected me to Tokushima.
The time I spent photographing the entire Tokushima region, the people I encountered, and Tokushima Vortis, which my father loved so deeply.
“Together with Tokushima, toward the greatest moments.”
I deeply resonate with this slogan, and I hope to carry forward what I can into the future.
In good times and difficult times, our feelings remain close.
I wholeheartedly support Tokushima Vortis.
