SŌSEKI — 層積
Like geological strata accumulating over time, wood records the passage of time.
This series constructs surfaces as layered compositions
by horizontally stacking slender wooden pieces.
Just as geological layers slowly accumulate over time,
wood pieces with different species, tones, and grain patterns
overlap and connect as a single continuous flow.
Structured yet never uniform,
the composition creates a rich rhythm within a quiet sense of order.
