KŌSŌ — 光層
The flow of wood grain creates layers of light.
KŌSŌ is a pattern that generates layers of light through the directional flow of wood grain.
Depending on the angle of light and the viewer’s perspective,
the shadows within the grain shift subtly,
creating a sense of depth and movement despite the surface being completely flat.
Only the most highly expressive figured grain sections are carefully selected,
and arranged to reveal the full character and beauty hidden within the material itself.
This series highlights the inherent beauty of the material itself
through the power of composition.
