In that process, planks of a certain thickness are produced — these are the \u003cem\u003etsuki-jiri\u003c\/em\u003e. The Petite Plate is made from 8mm \u003cem\u003etsuki-jiri\u003c\/em\u003e: carefully selected timber, given its own role.
